For over 25 years, Cyndi Sharp has worked as a writer and an editor. Cyndi is professionally trained to look at both the big picture (substantial editing) and to focus on the details (copyediting). She makes sure that each piece of writing first meets the audience’s needs. She does this by politely making critical suggestions and commenting on the syntax, content, and usability of the writing. After that, though sometimes simultaneously, she edits to ensure that every word is spelled and punctuated correctly and that every line receives consistent treatment. Cyndi follows the style guide, yet pays special attention to the important balance between enforcing grammar rules and protecting the author’s voice.
Cyndi has a BA in Psychology and History and is an avid reader and book collector. When not managing an editorial project or helping her family, she can be found consuming another book in a quiet corner with her poodle and two cats.
