Carlos Piatt was the eldest of seven children born and raised on a small farm in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. As a young man he traveled around the United States as a hobo, hopping trains and seeing the country.
Carlos was a born salesman and took to this life like a duck takes to water. This was the life he loved, and this was where his stories and poems were born. Carlos loved classical music, good literature, people, and life in general. He lived to work and was never afraid to take a chance on any endeavor that man or life presented to him. Through his life he wrote hundreds of poems. This book represents a collection of his work.
